Day 1: Bucharest – Milan – Livorno – Bastia. Check-in and boarding at Bucharest International Airport for the flight to Milan. Transfer to Livorno, a historic Tuscan port that served for centuries as the maritime gateway to Florence. Board the ferry to Bastia. Bastia, the vibrant capital of northern Corsica, captivates with its picturesque Venetian harbor dominated by the Genoese citadel and the narrow streets of the Terra Vecchia neighborhood that descend towards the Mediterranean Sea. Overnight at the hotel in the Lucciana area.
Day 2: Cap Corse – Corte. Breakfast. Depart along the spectacular Cap Corse, the peninsula that stretches like a finger to the north, offering dramatic landscapes where the mountains meet the sea. Panoramic stops in picturesque fishing villages such as Erbalunga, with its Genoese tower watching over the small port, and Nonza, perched on a steep cliff with its unique black pebble beach. Continue to Corte, the former capital of independent Corsica and the cultural heart of the island. Tour of the spectacular cliff-top citadel and the old town with its narrow cobbled streets. Day 3: Corte – Bonifacio – Castelsardo. Breakfast. Crossing through the mountainous interior of Corsica to Bonifacio, the southernmost city of the island, considered one of the most spectacular in the Mediterranean. Visiting the medieval old town perched dramatically on white limestone cliffs that rise 70 meters above the turquoise sea. Exploring the narrow streets, the historic churches of Sainte-Marie-Majeure and Saint-Dominique, the famous staircase of the King of Aragon, carved into the rock. Boarding the ferry to cross the Strait of Bonifacio to Santa Teresa Gallura in Sardinia. Transfer to Castelsardo, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Italy, with its majestic castle overlooking the Gulf of Asinara. Overnight at the hotel in the Castelsardo area.
Day 4: La Maddalena Islands & Costa Smeralda*. Breakfast. Free time for relaxation or optional excursion La Maddalena Islands & Costa Smeralda*. Tour of the fortified historic center with its imposing bastions, the Gothic-Catalan cathedral and the noble palaces with facades in warm Mediterranean shades. Visit to Nuraghe Palmavera, one of the most impressive Nuragic complexes from the Bronze Age, testimony to the mysterious civilization that dominated Sardinia 3500 years ago. Day 6: Capo Caccia & Grotte di Nettuno* – Castelsardo – Porto Torres – Genoa . Breakfast. Free time or optional excursion to Capo Caccia & Grotte di Nettuno*. Departure along the spectacular coast to Capo Caccia, the dramatic promontory that houses one of the natural wonders of the Mediterranean – Grotte di Nettuno. Access via the famous Escala del Cabirol (Deer Staircase) with its 654 steps carved into the rock or optionally by boat (depending on weather conditions). Visit inside the caves with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites reflected in the underground lake with unreal turquoise waters. Photo stop at La Pelosa beach, considered one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean, with its white sand and transparent waters. Return to Castelsardo. Transfer to Porto Torres to board the ferry to Genoa. Accommodation on board.
Day 7: Genoa – Milan . Breakfast. Arrival in Verona known for its historical beauty and connection with the famous playwright William Shakespeare, being the setting of the love story between Romeo and Juliet. The city’s attractions are: the Arena of Verona, a Roman amphitheater famous for opera performances and concerts, Juliet’s House with its famous balcony, Torre dei Lamberti which offers a spectacular panorama of the city and Castelvecchio a medieval fortress which houses an art museum. Accommodation at a hotel in the Milan area.
Day 8: Milan – Bucharest . Breakfast. Transfer to Milan airport for check-in and boarding the flight to Bucharest.
