Day 1: Bucharest – Bari – Ostuni. Check-in and boarding at Bucharest Otopeni airport for Bari. Panoramic tour of the city. Transfer for dinner and accommodation at a 3* or 4* hotel in the Ostuni area.
Day 2: Monopoli – Polignano a Mare. Breakfast. Departure for Monopoli, a small town-fortress typical of the region, with narrow streets and an idyllic central square. The journey continues to Polignano a Mare, where we visit the old town, the famous Cala Porto beach, and the Lama Monachile bridge, an old Roman bridge that has withstood time. Free time for lunch and souvenir shopping.
Overnight stay: Ostuni
Day 3: Alberobello & Locorotondo*. Breakfast. Free time or optional excursion to Alberobello & Locorotondo. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Alberobello is a historic town famous for its white stone houses with pointed roofs, popularly called “Trulli”. Their original purpose was to store food for warmth, currently they are used as a restaurant or even inhabited. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Locorotondo, a small town located on the top of the hill, with superb whitewashed houses, whose narrow streets are a pleasure to walk through. As the name suggests, “The Round Place”, it is structured in the shape of a circle, with labyrinths that lead you to the old city center. In the evening, dinner and accommodation at a hotel in the Ostuni area.
Day 4: Brindisi – Ostuni. Breakfast. In the morning, departure for Brindisi, a port city located in the “heel of the boot of Italy”, which played a strategic role during the Roman Empire. Visit the old center, Piazza Duomo, Brindisi Castle (exterior), Cathedral and Roman Column. In the afternoon, walking tour of Ostuni, symbolically also called the “White City”, with stops at the main tourist attractions. In the evening, dinner and accommodation at a hotel in the Ostuni area.
Day 5: Matera*. Breakfast. Free time at your disposal, or optional, excursion to Matera, the city built into the rock, which bears the title of the oldest city in Italy, being built 9000 years ago. Countless films about the life of Jesus were filmed here, including the one in which our famous actress, Maia Morgenstern, appears. Called “Sassi”, the houses carved directly into the rock are truly spectacular, being included in the UNESCO heritage and attracting millions of tourists annually. In 2019, Matera was chosen as the European Capital of Culture*. In the evening, dinner and accommodation at the hotel in the Ostuni area.
Day 6: Martina Franca . Breakfast. In the morning, departure for Martina Franca, a representative city of the Puglia region. Visit the old center, considered a true jewel of the city, the Santo Stefano gate, Piazza Roma, Pallazo Ducale and Chiesa di San Domenico. In the afternoon, free time for relaxation. In the evening, dinner and accommodation at the hotel in the Ostuni area.
Day 7: Lecce*. Breakfast. Free time at your disposal or optional excursion to Lecce, the main city of the Salento Peninsula, famous for the unique baroque style of the architecture of its buildings. Visit: Sant Oronzo Square, St. Oronzo Column, Church of the Holy Cross, Celestine Monastery, Duomo Square and the impressive Roman Amphitheater*. Evening, dinner and accommodation at the hotel in the Ostuni area.
Day 8: Bari – Bucharest . Breakfast. Transfer to Bari airport for check-in and boarding the flight to Bucharest Otopeni.
